About Buckendoon

Buckendoon is a rural locality on the Richmond River floodplain in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, in the City of Lismore, about 30 km south of Lismore and 10 km north-west of the town of Coraki. The low-lying flat country, part of the Kilgin-Buckendoon backswamp subcatchment, is drained by constructed drains and used for sugar cane and grazing, on the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr people.
