About Valentine
Valentine is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, located approximately 20 kilometres from the Newcastle central business district along the eastern shoreline of Lake Macquarie. Named after Henry Valentine Joseph Geary, a property speculator who owned land in the area, the suburb was surveyed by Henry Halloran in 1916 and large-scale residential development commenced in the late 1980s. The suburb offers waterfront parklands and views across Croudace Bay to the Watagan Mountains.
