About Blackalls Park
Blackalls Park is a residential suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in Greater Newcastle, New South Wales, located two kilometres north-west of Toronto on an inlet of Lake Macquarie. Established in 1870 and named after the Blackall family, with Thomas Blackall serving as a pharmacist, dentist and mayor, the suburb was originally called Blackall Platform after the rail station. Stoney Creek in the south-east separates Blackalls Park from Toronto. The Toronto railway line operated from 1891 until replaced by bus service in the 1990s.
