About Saumarez
Saumarez is a rural locality on the New England tablelands, about five kilometres south of Armidale. It takes its name from the historic Saumarez Homestead, established in 1835 by Henry Dumaresq as one of the earliest pastoral runs on the tablelands. The homestead, managed by the White family for over a century, is now open to the public as a National Trust property showcasing a late Victorian homestead with its original furnishings and outbuildings.
