About Lower Acacia Creek
Lower Acacia Creek is a remote rural locality in the Tenterfield Shire of the New England and North West region in New South Wales, located about 610 kilometres from Sydney at the foot of the McPherson Range near the Queensland border. Situated on the Northern Tablelands high country above 1,000 metres elevation, the landscape features undulating hills, valleys, and plateau country on the headwaters of the Clarence River. Part of the historic Tenterfield district where Sir Henry Parkes delivered his 1889 federation speech, the area supports cattle and sheep grazing on the high country.
