About Jews Lagoon

Jews Lagoon is a rural locality in the Narrabri district of northern New South Wales, on the black soil plains between Moree and Narrabri. The locality includes the site of the Waterloo Creek massacre, where mounted police killed at least forty Gamilaraay people at the lagoon now known as Jews Lagoon in January 1838. The site was added to the State Heritage Register in 2021.
