About Ironbark (NSW)

Ironbark is a rural locality in the Barraba district of north-western New South Wales, comprising mostly grazing country. The area was first taken up as Ironbark Station in the 1830s and settled by the Spencer family from 1846. Their descendants established the Ironbark Herefords stud in 1933, which the family still runs today. The locality shares its name with the nearby Ironbark Nature Reserve, a remnant of native woodland on the New England Tablelands.
