About Emmaville
Emmaville is a town on the Northern Tablelands in the New England region of New South Wales, in the Glen Innes Severn Council district. It grew from the 1870s as the tin-mining settlement of Vegetable Creek, named after the Chinese market gardens that served the miners, and was renamed in 1882 after Emma Greville. Tourism, agriculture and mining are now the main industries, with the heritage-listed Ottery Mine to the north-east.
