About Bangheet
Bangheet is a small rural locality in the Gwydir Shire of northern New South Wales, located on the Gwydir River approximately 457 kilometres north-west of Sydney and near the town of Bingara. Historically the area was the site of a vast pastoral station renowned for its drought-resistant pastures and breeding of merino sheep, Shorthorn cattle and horses. It remains a quiet agricultural community.
