About Wymah

Wymah is a rural community on the Murray River in the south-east Riverina of New South Wales, within the Greater Hume Shire on the border with Victoria. The heritage-listed Wymah Ferry, a cable ferry built in 1946, carries vehicles across the lake between Wymah and Granya in Victoria, one of only two cable ferries left on the Murray between the two states. The former Wymah school now houses a museum of local pioneer history.
