About Walbundrie
Walbundrie is a village in the eastern Riverina of New South Wales, on the bank of the Billabong Creek in the Greater Hume Shire, about 50 km north-west of Albury. Known as the crossroads of the Riverina, it was formerly called Piney Range after the surrounding cypress pine stands, and grew as a gold-rush town after the nearby Walbundrie Reefs goldfield was proclaimed in 1855. The village stages the Walbundrie Show, claimed to be the largest one-day show in the Riverina.
