About Finley
Finley is a town in the Riverina of New South Wales on Yorta Yorta Country, at the junction of the Newell and Riverina Highways about 140 km west of Albury. It is the largest town in Berrigan Shire. First settled in the early 1840s and long known as Murray Hut, it prospered once irrigation water from the Mulwala Canal reached the district in 1939, turning the surrounding land into rich cropping and grazing country.
