About Barratta (NSW)
Barratta is a remote rural locality on the flat floodplain of the western Riverina in New South Wales, about 30 kilometres north of Deniliquin beside the Edward River. The district was taken up in the 19th century as a pastoral run and remains sparsely settled grazing country, supporting sheep and cattle with grain growing across the surrounding plains.
