About Nooroo
Nooroo is a rural locality in the Mid-Coast Council area of the Upper Hunter, New South Wales, northwest of Stroud and between Dungog and Gloucester. It features dense bushland and grazing land in the foothills of the Barrington Tops, and was served by a railway station on the North Coast line between 1913 and 1975. Today it supports a small community of farmers and graziers.
