Markwell is a small rural locality in the MidCoast Council area, situated in the hinterland near the Myall Lakes region approximately 9 kilometres north of Bulahdelah. Characterised by bushland and farmland, it lies close to Myall Lakes National Park, one of New South Wales' largest coastal national parks, with Bulahdelah serving as the main service centre.
