About Limeburners Creek (Port Macquarie-Hastings - NSW)

Limeburners Creek is a rural locality on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, on the coast north of Port Macquarie between Port Macquarie and Crescent Head. It is named after the creek where lime was burnt from oyster shells to make mortar for the early convict settlement at Port Macquarie. Much of the locality lies within Limeburners Creek National Park, a coastal park of beaches, heathland and forest centred on Point Plomer.
