About Limeburners Creek (Mid-Coast - NSW)

Limeburners Creek is a rural locality in the Mid-Coast Council area of New South Wales, in the Port Stephens hinterland near the town of Karuah. It takes its name from Limeburners Creek, a mangrove-lined arm of the Karuah River estuary that is an important fish habitat and a priority oyster aquaculture area. The surrounding country is a mix of bushland, waterways and rural holdings, with the Karuah River and Karuah National Park nearby.
