About Lansdowne (Mid-Coast - NSW)
Lansdowne is a rural village in the Manning Valley of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, about 25 kilometres south-west of Taree, in the Mid-Coast Council area. It lies in the Lansdowne River valley, a gateway to Coorabakh National Park and the Lansdowne State Forests, and was first settled in 1848, when Benjamin Saville bought 50 acres on the northern bank of the Lansdowne River.
