About East Kempsey
East Kempsey is a suburb of Kempsey in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located on the Macleay River floodplain. The original settlement site, it was established through Enoch Rudder's private town subdivision in 1836 and named after Kempsey in Worcestershire, England. On the traditional land of the Thunggutti and Dunghutti people, it features Rudder Park Lookout and is near Arakoon National Park and Trial Bay Gaol.
