About Wilton (NSW)

Wilton is a town in the Macarthur Region of Sydney in the Wollondilly Shire, New South Wales, at the junction of the Hume Motorway and Picton Road, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD. Traditional country of the Gandangara people, town lots were first sold in 1844 and coal mining later brought development. Wilton Park, established in 1892 as a thoroughbred horse stud, is a heritage-listed landmark. The landscape features undulating pastoral land bordered by the Razorback Range and Dharawal State Recreation Area.
