About Macquarie Pass
Macquarie Pass is a locality in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia, about 90 kilometres southwest of Sydney. It surrounds the pass of the same name on the Illawarra Highway, part of the Illawarra escarpment. The locality is home to Macquarie Pass National Park, established in 1970, which protects a range of eucalypt forests and rainforest, including one of Australia's most southerly stands of subtropical rainforest.
