About Mount View
Mount View is a rural locality in the Hunter Region wine region of New South Wales, between Cessnock and Wollombi in the City of Cessnock local government area. It has ideal climate, soil and temperature for viticulture, which has been practised there since the mid-19th century. The locality sits in dense forest with periodic clearings, and creeks running down from the mountain supply water to the surrounding farmland. The road from Cessnock to Mount View provides access to the Great North Walk and to lookouts with extensive views of the Hunter Region.
