About Lorn
Lorn is a heritage suburb of Maitland, New South Wales, Australia, located on the north bank of the Hunter River and connected by the Belmore Bridge. Originating from an 1823 land grant and named after the Scottish Lordship of Lorn, it was developed as a planned garden suburb in 1911 with tree-lined streets and Victorian and Federation architecture. It is known for its jacaranda displays and the RH Taylor Reserve riverbank.
