About Dalwood (Singleton - NSW)
Dalwood is a rural locality in the Hunter Valley situated along the New England Highway east of Singleton, on the banks of the Hunter River. It is the birthplace of Hunter Valley viticulture, George Wyndham planted the region's first vineyard there in 1830, and is home to Dalwood House, a National Trust property listed on the Register of the National Estate.
