About Weilmoringle
Weilmoringle is a remote outback locality in the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, situated on flat semi-arid plains roughly 100 kilometres north of Brewarrina. The community has deep connections to Murrawari Aboriginal heritage, and the Weilmoringle Local Aboriginal Land Council has maintained a presence in the area since the 1970s. Historically established as a grazing property in the 1880s, the locality later returned to Aboriginal custodianship and remains one of the most sparsely settled communities in the state.
