About Tindarey
Tindarey is a vast remote rural locality in the Cobar Shire of the Far West and Orana region in New South Wales, located about 60 kilometres northwest of Cobar and 588 kilometres from Sydney. The landscape supports pastoralism on marginal sheep country. Named after the original Tindarey pastoral leasehold notified in 1885, the locality includes the Mount Drysdale goldfield, now a ghost town listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register, on the traditional lands of the Ngiyampaa Wangaaypuwan people.
