About Gilgooma
Gilgooma is a rural locality in the Coonamble Shire of the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, about 35 kilometres north of Coonamble, with the Wailwan people as Traditional Custodians. The former village of Gilgooma once had a school, sawmill, church and cricket ground, but today only a few houses and the Soldier's Memorial Gates remain. The surrounding country is used for broad-acre cropping and grazing.
