Sherwood is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Clarence Valley hinterland of northern New South Wales, about 650 kilometres from Sydney. The landscape is dominated by beef cattle grazing and sugarcane farming, with State forest and remnant subtropical rainforest on the elevated fringes.
