About Cowper

Cowper is a small rural locality in the Coffs Harbour and Grafton region of New South Wales, situated in the hinterland between Coffs Harbour and Bellingen. The locality of scattered farming properties lies within the Bellingen Shire on the mid-north coast, with cedar-getting and dairy farming part of its early history. It is named after Sir Charles Cowper, who served as Premier of New South Wales on five occasions between 1856 and 1870.
