About Copmanhurst
Copmanhurst is a small town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, on the Clarence River upriver from Grafton. After the road from Grafton to Tenterfield was built in 1859, surveyors laid out a village on high ground near the river's second falls, taking its name from the Copmanhurst pastoral run. The town developed as a river shipping point for logs and cattle and grew as a logging and grazing centre.
