About Alumy Creek
Alumy Creek is a small rural locality in the Clarence Valley of northern New South Wales, situated in the rolling hills and creek valleys north of the Clarence River. The farming country takes its name from the watercourse flowing through its forested hinterland, and is notable for the Alumy Creek School Museum — a former one-teacher school operating from 1872 to 1969 that is now a living museum depicting typical rural school life from the 1930s era. Grafton, the principal service centre for the Clarence Valley, provides supermarkets, health services and NSW TrainLink connections approximately 55 kilometres to the south.
