About Yarrabandai
Yarrabandai is a rural locality in the Central West region of New South Wales, located between Parkes and Condobolin in the Forbes local government area. The landscape features semi-arid central western plains with Yarrabandai Creek flowing about 60 kilometres near Trundle and Goobang Creek forming an approximate boundary, on traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people. The pastoral history centres on Burrawang Estate, a 520,000-acre sheep station purchased by Thomas Edols in 1873, where a 101-stand shearing shed called Big Burrawang was one of the largest in New South Wales.
