About Tallimba

Tallimba is a town in the Central West of New South Wales, in Bland Shire about 34 kilometres from West Wyalong. It grew with the arrival of the railway line from Barmedman, which allowed wheat grown on surrounding bush blocks to be transported to market, and a school opened in 1925. The town retains a public school, hall, police station and war memorial park. Country music singer Fanny Lumsden grew up in the district.
