About Beckom
Beckom is a village in the central Riverina of New South Wales, about 90 kilometres east of Griffith. It was established in 1908 with the opening of the Temora-Roto railway line, and its post office opened the following year. Passenger services ceased in 1983 and the station closed in 1985, though the line remains open for goods trains. The village is a service centre for the surrounding mixed farming district.
