About Piney Range
Piney Range is a rural locality in the Central West region of New South Wales, situated about 30 kilometres north of Warren in the Weddin Shire. The area lies on open grazing plains characterised by sparse native pine scrub from which the locality takes its name. Sheep and cattle grazing dominate the landscape, and the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park, home to Ben Hall's Cave, adds historical and natural significance to the district.
