About Piambong

Piambong is a rural locality in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, in the Mid-Western Regional Council area about 20 kilometres west of Mudgee. It is undulating grazing and farming country, and part of the traditional territory of the Wiradjuri people. The Wiradjuri landholder Diana Mudgee acquired about 1,300 acres in the Piambong area in the 1880s and was buried there in 1902.
