About Paling Yards (Oberon - NSW)
Paling Yards is a rural locality in the Oberon district of the New South Wales Central Tablelands, in the old Abercrombie pastoral district. A memoir of the 1840s records that the Aboriginal man Miranda was buried there in 1849, when the area served travellers on the route between Goulburn and Bathurst. The locality is now sparsely settled grazing country.
