About Munghorn

Munghorn is a sparsely populated locality on the Great Dividing Range, about 35 kilometres north-east of Mudgee in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales. Most of the locality is occupied by Munghorn Gap Nature Reserve, Australia's second-oldest nature reserve, gazetted in 1961. The reserve protects sandstone pagoda country of particular significance to the Wiradjuri people and is known for the Castle Rocks walking trail and its birdlife, which includes the rare regent honeyeater.
