About Lue
Lue is a small village in central-western New South Wales, located on the now-closed Gwabegar railway line between Rylstone and Mudgee, about 20 kilometres south-east of Mudgee. The village prospered after the railway reached Mudgee in 1884 but declined from the 1930s. Its heritage-listed railway station still stands, and the Lue Hotel and Lue Pottery remain in business. A few kilometres away on the Mudgee Road stands the historic Havilah homestead with its adjoining Havilah Memorial Church.
