About Essington
Essington is a small rural locality in the Oberon district of the Central Tablelands, roughly 180 kilometres west of Sydney. It sits on high-altitude tableland at around 1,000 metres, known for cold winters with occasional snowfall, and has a history of copper mining and pastoral settlement dating to the 1840s.
