About Duramana

Duramana is a rural locality in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, situated about 30 kilometres north of Bathurst within the Bathurst Regional Council area. The area features open grazing land and native bushland on undulating terrain, and is traversed by the Bridle Track, a historic 1800s gold-rush route from Bathurst to Hill End that is now a popular 4WD and camping track along the Macquarie River. The critically endangered Duramana Fingers orchid is endemic to the locality.
