About Ballyroe

Ballyroe is a rural locality in Oberon Shire in the Central West region of New South Wales, about 150 km west of Sydney. It sits on the Oberon plateau, a high tableland west of the Great Dividing Range, and is almost entirely used for primary production. An Aboriginal scarred tree photographed there in 1882 is documented in local history.
