About Reids Flat

Reids Flat is a historic village on the south bank of the Lachlan River in the Hilltops Council area of south-west New South Wales, about 80 kilometres north of Young. Originally known as Numby, it grew around the area's gold diggings, and in the 1860s gold-rush era the district was associated with bushrangers Frank Gardiner and Jack Peisley. The area lies on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people.
