About Nelson (Bega Valley - NSW)
Nelson is a sparsely populated rural locality in the hinterland of the far south coast of New South Wales, near the village of Towamba in the Bega Valley Shire, west of Eden. The surrounding Towamba valley was opened up from the 1840s, when Benjamin Boyd's road linking the coast to the Monaro ran through the district. The locality today is quiet grazing and farming country.
