About Mount Cooper (NSW)
Mount Cooper is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Snowy Monaro council area of New South Wales, on the high grazing plains of the Monaro about 25 km south of Nimmitabel. It takes its name from the nearby mountain and is crossed by the Snowy River Way, with a pioneer cemetery at the old Mount Cooper homestead.
