About Jingera

Jingera is a locality in the Snowy Monaro Region of New South Wales, lying south of Captains Flat and north-east of Bredbo at an elevation of around 908 metres. In 1867 the locality was the site of the ambush and murder of four police constables by the Clarke brothers gang. A public school operated intermittently from 1889 to 1941. The locality is about 67 kilometres south-east of Canberra.
