About Jerrabomberra

Jerrabomberra is a master-planned residential suburb of Queanbeyan, about 6 km southwest of the town centre and adjacent to the ACT border. Developed from a 1820s pastoral estate in 1988, the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "boy frightened by a storm." The suburb consists of three sections — The Park, The Heights and Lakeview — and many residents commute to Canberra for work in government and defence.
