About Greigs Flat

Greigs Flat is a locality in the Bega Valley Shire on the far south coast of New South Wales, where the Princes Highway crosses the Yowaka River. The heritage-listed Yowaka Bridge, built in 1936, is a fine example of a continuous girder reinforced concrete bridge. Greigs Flat Public School operated from 1869 until 1951, known as Yowaka Public School after 1942; politician Francis Bland attended it as a child.
