About Colinton (NSW)
Colinton is a locality on the Monaro Highway in the Snowy Monaro Region, lying on the eastern side of the Murrumbidgee River between Canberra and Cooma. Once a village with a railway station on the now-disused Bombala railway line, the area has a history of alluvial gold mining and features the Colinton Gorge on the Murrumbidgee.
