About Biala
Biala is a rural locality in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, situated about 27 kilometres north-west of Gunning and 95 kilometres north of Canberra. The landscape features open pastoral plains, scattered eucalypt woodland and rolling hills typical of high-country grazing land in the Upper Lachlan Shire. It lies within the upper Mulwaree catchment at an elevation of around 636 metres.
